Beginner Level - 1

For children ages 4.5 to 9 years | 1–4 sessions/week

Our Badminton Beginner Level-1 is designed for the youngest players taking their first steps into the sport. This foundational program builds essential habits through fun, age-appropriate activities. Children develop eye-hand coordination, learn basic racket control, and begin understanding the rules and spirit of the game — all while making friends and having a great time on the court.

Focuses On: Basic V-Grip, Racket Swing, Ready Position, Forehand Clear and Lift shots, Front and Back Footwork, Warm-up and Cool-down, Eye-Hand Coordination, and Basic Game Rules.

Beginner Level - 2

Next step after Beginner Level-1 | 1–4 sessions/week

Building on the foundation from Level-1, this program introduces players to the next tier of strokes and court movement. Students refine their technique, introduce the Thumb grip, and begin working toward consistent shot delivery. Multi-bird feeding drills challenge players to improve their accuracy while keeping sessions engaging and fun.

Focuses On: Basic V-Grip, Thumb Grip Introduction, Forehand Clear, Forehand & Backhand Lift, Forehand & Backhand Net Shots, Shuffling Footwork, Hand-Eye Coordination, Game Rules, and Fun Games.

Beginner Level - 3

Satisfactory completion of Beginner Level-2 required | 2–4 sessions/week

Beginner Level-3 marks a meaningful shift in training intensity and focus. Players begin working with proper technical terminology and are introduced to a more structured, disciplined approach to the game. This program develops continuous rally play, correct body mechanics, and purposeful court movement — laying the technical groundwork needed to enter the competitive track. The goal is to sustain 50-shuttle rallies with a coach in a half-court setting while executing strokes with improving precision and intent.

Focuses On: Backhand Drive, Forehand Drive, Simple Smash, Forehand Serve, Drop Shots, Net Play, Drive Footwork, High Clear Footwork, Endurance, Resistance Training, Flexibility, Speed, Singles and Doubles Game Rules, Switching Grips, and Sportsmanship.

Beginner Level - 4

Satisfactory completion of Beginner Level-3 required | 2–4 sessions/week | Gateway to Rising Stars

Beginner Level-4 is a technically demanding program that prepares players for the competitive group. Training at this level emphasizes stroke precision, consistent execution, and sharp court awareness. Players are expected to sustain half-court rallies with fellow students while applying correct technique under pressure. Every session is structured to build the physical conditioning, mental focus, and technical consistency required to successfully transition into the Rising Stars program.

Focuses On: Net Kill, Block & Defense, Overhead Drop Shot, Full Footwork Sequences (Serve, High Clear, Drop Shots, Net, Lift, Smash, Drive), Endurance, Flexibility, Speed, Power Training, Tactical Awareness, and Sportsmanship.

Rising Stars - 1

Satisfactory completion of Beginner Level-4 required | 3–5 sessions/week

Rising Stars-1 is a structured competitive development program for players who have demonstrated the technical foundation to begin their tournament journey. Training shifts to full-court execution, power generation, and match-ready consistency. Players work closely with coaches to sharpen tactical stroke selection, net control, and competitive decision-making. With a minimum of 3 sessions per week, commitment and discipline are as important as skill at this level.

Focuses On: Tactical Stroke Execution, Full Court Footwork, Back-to-Back Clears, Strong Lift, Tight Net Control, Upper Body Strength, Core Conditioning, Power Development, Endurance, Tactical Decision-Making, Singles and Doubles Game Strategy, and Mental Toughness.

Rising Stars - 2

For players actively competing in ORC, OLC, and regional tournaments | 3–5 sessions/week

Rising Stars-2 is built for players who are already competing on the tournament circuit — including ORC, OLC, and similar events. Training at this level is high-intensity and strategically focused, with an emphasis on full-court speed, advanced shot execution, and eliminating unforced errors. Players are challenged to sustain prolonged rallies with no rest intervals, apply attacking and defensive combinations under match conditions, and develop the mental resilience to perform consistently in competitive environments.

Focuses On: Full Court Coverage (4 Corners), Multi-Feed Full Court Drills, Fast Reflexes, Body Balance & Reach, Attack, Defense & Trick Shots, Continuity of Shots, No-Rest Rally Training, Game Strategy (Singles & Doubles), Mental Toughness, Phase-Change Tactics, and Quality Shot Execution.

Elite

For players competing in Junior Nationals, PANAM, and International tournaments | Minimum 3 sessions/week | By coach recommendation

The Elite program is Momentum Sports' pinnacle of training, reserved for players competing at the highest levels — Junior Nationals, PANAM, and International tournaments. Training combines elite-level technical refinement, high-performance physical conditioning, and advanced strategic preparation. Video analysis of matches and training sessions is used to identify areas for growth and fine-tune each player's competitive edge. Mental stability, in-game strategic adaptation, and mastering high-pressure match situations are central to this program.

Focuses On: Strategic Game Analysis, Video Review of Matches and Training, Advanced Singles & Doubles Strategies, Phase-Change and Tempo Variation, Opponent-Based Tactical Adjustments, Stroke Consistency and Precision, Winning Mindset, Mental Toughness, Agility, Speed, Stamina, and International-Level Physical Conditioning.

Private & Semi-Private Sessions

For kids and adults of all levels | 1-hour sessions | 1-on-1 or 2-person coaching

Maximize your potential with personalized, focused attention from an expert coach. Private and Semi-Private Lessons at Momentum Sports are designed for players who want to accelerate their growth beyond group training - zeroing in on exactly what needs to be corrected, refined, and improved at the individual level. Private sessions are a dedicated 1-on-1 experience, while Semi-Private sessions bring two players of similar level together for shared yet personalized coaching - making both formats ideal for kids and adults at any stage of their badminton journey.

Your coach will closely analyze your movement, stroke mechanics, shot selection, and game patterns to identify the specific areas holding you back. From there, every minute of the session is structured around targeted improvement - whether that's correcting technique, building advanced skills, developing match strategy, or fine-tuning a particular aspect of your game. With no distractions and full coach focus, these sessions deliver the kind of rapid, measurable progress that group classes simply cannot replicate.

Adult Group Coaching

For adults of all levels | Group training environment

Our Adult Group Coaching program is designed for adult players who are serious about elevating their game in a dynamic, structured, and motivating group environment. Whether you are picking up a racket for the first time or looking to sharpen your competitive edge, this program meets you where you are and builds you into a more complete, confident player. Individual assessments are conducted to ensure every participant is grouped appropriately, so training remains challenging, relevant, and effective for everyone in the session.

Coached by experienced professionals, every session is purposefully structured to develop all aspects of your game - from the technical fundamentals of grip and stroke to the tactical demands of singles and doubles match play. Physical conditioning is woven into every session, improving your speed, agility, endurance, and court coverage. Training alongside fellow adult players creates a competitive yet supportive atmosphere where you push each other, learn from each other, and grow together. Beyond the court, you will build friendships, stay active, and develop a genuine love for the sport.

Focuses On: Grip Correction, Stroke Refinement, Smash, Backhand, Net Play, Defense, Footwork & Court Coverage, Speed & Agility, Endurance & Flexibility, Circuit Training, Shot Selection, Singles & Doubles Game Strategy, Doubles Rotation & Communication, Tempo Control, Pace Variation, Situational Drills, Tactical Decision-Making under Pressure, and Sportsmanship.
